If I talk about motel, I bet one of the first few things that comes to your mind would be Vacancy(2007), run down rooms and sex (its the third thing to come into my mind but I bet it was the first for you).

your brain image /incept

However, my perspective of motel had changed drastically. If I can, I would like to work in Taiwan's motel! The motels in Taiwan are nothing like the picture I showed you above. It is practically hotel like, regardless of the accommodation or the food. Most of all it is cheap!

For illustration purpose, I randomly google and these are the images that came out.

Like a pretty only! The era of horror motels are over~ Even if I were to do housekeeping I think I would enjoy myself a lot with exploring all the different rooms and themes. These rooms typically look like hotel standard already. I had seen on 得奖的事 (hosted by 小鬼 & 黄国论) that there are some rooms that are themed with cars, dragons and ships. Can't show any pictures because I don't know what to type in chinese to search for it.

Very often, motels are associated with adultery and affairs but time had changed. I mean, there are more reasons to go to motel now. There are some motels that offers a private swimming pool, KTV corner and even BBQ pit!

If I ever go to Taiwan I would love to stay in the motel instead of the hotel! I think it is a great place to hold party too!

And why would I want to work in one? If I were to work at the front office, I think there will not be much of a problem because most of the guests wants privacy so during check in, (I heard) there will be a panel blocking the view of the guest and the procedures are all done with much discreet. To me it sounds almost like no complain. hehe
