My LG Viewty is going to breakdown any time soon. Need a new phone and I am stuck with the choice of Blackberry Bold & iPhone. I prefer Blackberry over the latter actually but apparently everyone says otherwise.

Anyway today after school, I went to one of the M1 shop at Jurong Point to check out the available plan and the cost of BB. She told me that I can purchase a plan for $36 /month. So later in the evening I went back to the same shop, seeing a lot of staff lazing around the front of the shop, obviously preparing to close for the day. Well, I thought it was okay since I understand the I-want-to-go-home feeling. Yes, it was understandable until I got a taste of their.. bullshit. (not worthy of the words customer service).

The first lady that attended to us was holding onto the keys, swaying it about like she was telling me I should get the hell out of the shop now because it is 9pm. I asked her if the BB white is available at a discounted price because I saw it on the Saturday Straits Times Home cover page. She simply replied me with a straight No. I further explained that I saw the advertisement on the Straits Times. This time she checked her notes and told me there was no such thing again.


Is this advertisement real or did I imagine it? Why does the staff not know a thing about this advertisement? If this promotion is over (the newspaper wrote 30July though), why can't she at least kindly explain to me?

I went on asking about the plan, wanting to make sure the amount I had to pay. She was clueless about it so she referred another staff to me. The new staff took me to the counter and told me that in order to use all the functions of the BB, I will need to pay the $36 plan plus another BB stuff (can't remember what it was about) which cost about $30. In total, my monthly bill should come about $60. But this afternoon the lady told me I have to only pay $36 ! I told her about what I heard from the staff this afternoon but she didn't apologise for lack of product knowledge or anything. She just went on saying in order to use the functions, I will need to pay $60+ /month. I said thank you and left the shop.




Fuck you. Fuck all the different information I obtained from various sources and people. Fuck the service. Not everyone is cut out to work in the service industry and you people are part of the pack. I would be very please to send a complain letter but I think writing on my blog will be a easier outlet for me. At the same time, it reaches my readers too. I doubt those staff even heard of the Iceberg theory.



This is not the first time I encounter such a service. Every single time it really pisses me off but at the same time, these people are the reason why I want to manage my customers really well. Secretly I wishes to do something about Singapore customer service but I think I am too small a role so I will just start with myself first. And when I do well, I wish my friends will be inspired to do well too and together we will kick the butts of those assholes who do a bad job for customer relationship.



Anger aside, 小鬼 is coming to Singapore at September! :D I couldn't sleep last night after I read the news hehe Shan't write much about it. This happy occasion should not be mixed with my complain above.
