“There’s a reason I’ve always said I’d be happy alone. It wasn’t ‘cause I thought I’d be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It’s easier to be alone. Because what if you learn that you need love, and then you don’t have it? What if you like it? And lean on it? What if you shape your life around it, and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It’s like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? This can go on forever.”

I watched another movie alone.
Priest(2011) had a good storyline but the movie was rushed to finished aww It could had been better if they gave us more attention. I certainly hope for a sequel! There's so many good movies coming up I'm excited.
For the past few days the internet suck. Nothing was loading at all :( I'd murder Internet if it was a human. But because of it I picked up one of the book my sister loaned from the library and finished it within two nights. Very much like the American drama, Supernatural, where it talks about demons and shapeshifters and all the creatures along that line. I also watched
The Bucket List(2007) with my phone and it was very much worth the time. If the movie were to be real I'd regret not knowing Carter Chambers. I get very attracted to people who have wide knowledge. And I watched a couple of animations like
A Bug's Life(1998) and
Finding Nemo(2003). Yeh I had never watched them before zzz After watching
Fast 5 (2011), I watched the rest of the sequels too.
Like I have a lot of time right. I think it's coming to an end. I'm seriously looking for a job now and I have got an interview tomorrow (wish me luck!). I hope insomnia will end too. For the whole week I can't sleep before 4am and that sucks although I enjoy being an owl. Money come so I can enjoy the trip! :D
Good night.
台北 II
(Saturday / 23:56)
3rd May
I was already done wearing the clothes I bought there hehe Took the train to danshui & because we used so many coins it was rejected
seriously?!
Tried a couple of local food like the long long ice cream (but we have short ones only. Is there like sizes for the ice cream?), the potato baked in chips, etc etc and went to Ripley's Believe it or not. Very different from the one I visited at Genting because they show more real animals like the huge rabbit, snakes, weird turtles and funny pictures. Apparently we are also allowed to touch and take the weird objects and stuff as being said by the introductory signs.
the stupid bird that ate a fish too big. really stupid bird hahaha
When the sun was setting the wind got really strong and the rain got heavier. One of the shop keepers advised us to get ponchos and while putting it on, a Japanese couple wanted us to take pictures for them. The guy was really cute in the way he behaves :D His pose are really funny hahaha then we got him to take picture for us too. Usually when you get a stranger to take picture they would take only two but he just went on EHH /snap EHH /snap EHH /snap hahaha so friendly!
We wanted to have steamboat for dinner but we could not find our way. Wanted to have Kanpai but the locals says it's very expensive so we asked if there is any others around the area. We were pointed different directions and some even say there isn't any around. We end up having Japanese ramen. After that we walked to the station and head the other direction for Raohe yeshi.
On the way there my slippers broke! Damn embarrassing to be in poncho and bending on putting my slippers back together in the middle of the street and the others surround me while I was doing so hehe Spend only about 2 or 3 hours there but we bought a lot of stuff! :D
best train ride @ taipei
I lost the leopard ring I bought hen sad! :( I wanted to get it from Singapore but it was expensive so I was thrilled to see it there at NT100 THEN I LOST IT WTPOOT no fate :( :(
4th May
It was zoo zoo zoo day~ Again there was slight drizzle but thankfully the rain hold until the near end. However it was not a very good experience because we couldn't see a lot of the animals. Singapore zoo is a lot better! And the highlight for the zoo was the two pandas but hope of them were sleeping and we couldn't even see their faces =/ I also realise I have fear for frog and toad. Near the end when it was raining we rush through the last few part of the zoo and then took a cable car back to the train station.
Took the train to Daan and was suppose to go to the Hot Dog Toyz & AES but I forgot my phone :( I remember taking it just before I got out but I think I didn't put it into my bag wtf Everyone got kind of annoyed so we searched for a dinner place first. Was introduced to
锅大爷 and the food was good!

The steamboat is limited to 2 hours and they do not have a large variety of food choices. However the meat was really good! They also serve desserts and cakes, chocolate fondue and Haagen Daz ice cream woohoo I spent half and hour to eat them hehehe I didn't have the ice cream though cause I was stuffed with meat & cakes.
After the meal we went on looking for the toy shop but we failed despite asking around and having a map on our hand. :( However we managed to get to a shop that was good enough to satisfy Bern (Y) It was already late then and I just gave up the idea of going AES. sigh Then on the way back I saw this bag I fall madly in love with but I didn't get it because I don't think I would use it. Double sighzxzzxz Bought a pair of shoes though! I had fetish for pink when I was there so I bought pink shoes~
We got back after that and some of us headed out to Luxy. 5 of us shared a cab and I had to disappear just in case there is police. haha Anyway I like the place a lot! The moment the elevator door open, there was the laser making it like the laser alarm damn cooooooooool! Walking through it makes me subconsciously lower my head. The toilet have got giant sofas and a full length mirrors half surrounding the bridal changing room thing. The music was good except they play music I didn't know and they play MVs which make the place kind of bright. & THERE ARE MORE CUTE BOYS THERE. Not that any exactly catch my eye though.. Everything was good until the night was spoilt -.-
5th May
It was difficult to get everyone up after a very late night and hangovers. I slept for probably 3 hours? So after everyone was up we checked out from the room and then went to ximending woohoo probably the most mad shopping day. Bought so much that I could feel the weight on my hand. We went back to the hotel as the taxi just arrived and head off to the airport with everyone asleep on the way. Uncle was cool as he on his lights in the car haha the disco lights sync with music somemore!
We had our last dinner at a chinese restaurant in the airport and I didn't finish it because of the smell =/ During the flight I managed to catch a little bit of sleep oh yay
Then I slept 12 hours. Regret not buying more. Sad for not going to AES. But it was good good I want to go back there! :D

台北 I
(Friday / 22:55)
All the research, effort, readings for this trip was worthwhile~ :) Again, I packed my luggage just a couple of hours before flying. Had training then went to Robertson Quay for Evon's 21. Wanted to go home after that to start packing but ended up at Helipad. I am glad I did though because I met Liqi there :`) Was checking on facebook status to see if she checked in but she did not so I thought she was not working that day but later I saw her at the ladies. Had countless hugs and did a little chat up. Funny how the last time we saw each other was in Jurong Secondary but now in a club. It never felt that long. :) Anyway! I went on with my training to shuffle in heels HAHAHA A pretty good night until they play house music - not really my kind of thing. Went to M hotel after that to tuck the birthday girl in before going home.
1st May
Had lunch at the food court at the airport before flying off. This is my first time taking the budget airline and everything really looks kind of budget

It was a flight slightly more than 4 hours and we managed to catch the sunset! I was feeling tired during the flight but didn't manage to catch any sleep so we played Monopoly deal instead A very useful tool no matter where we are and where we go.
Made transportation arrangement with the hotel so it was hassle free for us to get to the hotel. The hotel, Dandy Hotel, is located at Tianmu and it is a turn away from the main road. They uses a lot of white so it makes the hotel look really clean and pretty. We had the two rooms facing each other on the 6th floor. Our family room had a bathtub and a shower while the boys had only the shower head. And the toilet has no lock too. Thankfully I was not walked in while bathing haha The toilet had the thing that cleans your butt too but I didn't experiment with it.

So after we settle down, we took a quick cab ride to Shilin. We did not even wave for the cabs and they just stopped for us ha It was drizzling when we got there and the first thing we saw was the XL chicken. Bought two and then we seek shelter at the street that sells clothes. It was then when I realised a lot of the shops in Taipei have either dog or cat in the shop =/ And despite the street being really small, bikes are still going tru and fro. I think their bikers are really pro to drive like this. Makes my shopping paranoia.
Most of the time we girls were separated from the boys so we all have more time to shop our own stuff. We always met up somewhere along the street just before the meeting time so we do not have to walk all the way back to the meeting point. Weather was really hot then, so we went to 吃冰! One chocolate flavoured and the other peanut really really good~ At about 3am most of the shops were closing so we ate 面线 & oharjian before heading back.
2nd May
Breakfast at the hotel was provided and they had about the same thing every morning. Scramble egg, porridge, salad, yogurt, bread.. It was nice but wasn't good enough to make me want to eat it every single day when I was there. I miss that Batman's Hill hotel breakfast! Awesome hot dogs & scramble eggs.
After that we walked to the train station which was maybe about 20minutes away? The weather was rather cooling so it was fine. Bought the single trip ticket and it comes in the shape of chips! hehe how cool was that.

Stopped at Houshanpi which looked kind of far from the map but the MRT was really fast. Lines are drawn on the floor and all passengers obediently queued on the side, which was a better option than what Singapore have. Because the lines are only on one of the side of the door so the people alighting will not be blocked and there is no worry about being cut on the queue. (Y)
Find our way to Wufenpu and shop for the afternoon! Going on a Monday was a bad idea though, because most shops are doing wholesales only. We got chased out of the shop a couple of times :( I did read online saying that Monday is wholesales but didn't know we would actually be told that they are not selling anything to us. But still some shops are nice enough to allow us to buy.
Head back in the evening and drank my first bubble tea! I had less than 5 bubble tea altogether :( Damn fail. We wanted to try to take a bus back to the hotel but we came to know that there is actually a shuttle bus that can take us back to somewhere near. So we followed but we ended up walking a long distance before we got back. Not sure if we took the wrong turn or that it is that far. By the time we got to our hotel our feet were sore from all the walking. Filled the bathtub with hot water and bubbles to soak our feet in~

See how the girls looked so glamorous compared to the guys like as if they are having some scandalous moment
Had our dinner nearby after asking the front office for opinion. It was a small hotel so basically the staff there does everything. They are on the desk as the front office and concierge, they are at the breakfast area cleaning up, they do delivering to the room and they pick up calls and return emails.
We had our dinner at the restaurant that sells chinese food and dimsum. There was a lot of people who dine there as well so I thought it shouldn't be that bad. Beside the air conditioned seating area was an open kitchen so any take away were brought from there directly. I had beef soup and ordered rice that never came. I wouldn't finish it if it came anyway. The food wasn't exactly fabulous so I don't understand the crowd.

After dinner we walked back to the hotel and stopped at a couple of shops on the way. Just outside the Mac I saw a guy with a familiar hairstyle as 小鬼 hehe I was so looking forward to going to AES then :D When we got back to the hotel it was still early so the guys decided to grab drinks and crash our room. Played mahjong and monopoly and then went on to playing drinking game. We were so noisy I was afraid people would complained about us. One was down after being the champion loser for the games and we took pictures while he was asleep hehehe When we finished up, they went back to their room and we all went to sleep. When I toss around 90degree I felt like the world spinned 270degrees ha damn sucks we were playing 5 10 15 last and Sheila kept winning so I had to drink because she was sitting next to me ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
to be continued...
