Bangkok Part 2
(Friday / 18:15)

10th March

Weekends + Bangkok = Chatuchak!

Had our breakfast settled at a small eating outlet in Chatuchak itself before proceeding to spend money like we are rich bitch.

my omelet rice & S fried rice. it was literally omelet plus white rice at the bottom but because the egg was oily and delicious all is forgiven

Actually we did not really spend a lot haha Saw Felicia and friends at one of the alley and they were like backpacking at Chatuchak. Inside their carry on were stuff they just bought. Scary.

moiz k00l fw3n & coconut ice cream

The weather was really humid and a lot people, including us, bought something called coconut ice cream. Basically they put ice cream in half a coconut shell and scrap the meat of the fruit so it is easy for us to eat. It taste delicious! ^^

Sheila also bought something we call "nipples". It comes in the shape of an egg with a nipple on top of it. To eat, the seller cut the top nipple away and you suck the ice cream (?) through the nipple hole. They have a quite a bit of flavours and Sheila ate two. She bought herself a set of nipples hahahha Yes I am having fun using the word nipple.

We weave our way through Chatuchak without much direction so we went in circles quite a bit. It was really tiring man. And when we were tired, we got a little drunk haha When the sun was about to set, we sat at another food outlet and people watch for awhile while our legs come back to life and set off to the Train Market (aka Talaad Rot Fai).

This place was recommended to me by Yilin (thank you so much!) when I saw her pictures on instagram. It is within a walking distance from Chatuchak and when we arrived, it felt like we teleport back to the olden days (i have no concept on whether it's the 80s or 90s). Old telephones, old televisions and a lot other old stuff were sold here but there are also new clothes sold.

This place was where Sheila and I found quite a bit of gold! They had fried insects yay. In case you don't know I do enjoy eating those ever since Jolin bought some back to Singapore a few years back during a class chalet :D I bought some worms but it was soggy so I never finish eating them. Sheila found the mini pancakes she have been 'gian-ing' ever since we board the plane. For me the best thing I got there was not the soggy worms but the studded shorts! I have been wanting one ever since I saw it online. Even though of studding one myself but it never happened because I was too lazy. And it cost me SGD$12 only :D :D :D I believe in Singapore, that price will only land me with not even one side of a shorts so YAY!

That night we returned to the same massage parlour and had full body oil massage. 1) I cannot stand doing another round of foot massage 2) I want to try the different kind of massage

11th March

Another Chatuchak day~ Started the day off with a brunch at the eating area in Chatuchak. Finally got beef noodle and the noodle taste very good! QQ 的! Also ate a small bowl of chocolatey ice after walking around a little before we went off to take the train to Union Mall. Chatuchak just does not seem to appeal to me very very much =/

my QQ beef noodles and a row of veggies to be added to your dish to your liking

Before we leave for Union Mall we discovered something! I don't know if anyone else noticed this or not but next time you want to get out of the heat for a little while at Chatuchak Market, go to the train station! It's air conditioned and there are some underground shops next to the train station. The moment we stepped into the train station we looked like this (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Going to UM is a right choice! They have a lot of small shops and the things sold are pretty cheap (we found some items we got at a cheaper price here -_- partly because we did not bargain much too but still..) There was a lot of food too we could not decide what to eat - Korean BBQ, A&W (?), MK yadda yadda yadda we wanted to eat everythinggggggg~

MK was highly recommended by Sheila so we went in for lunch. Ordered a plate of meat and a bowl of rice to share. It was as good as it look woohoo especially the duck meat. Need.Another.Plate.Now. nomz

When to move up to another level we were tired already haha The upper level was not as appealing as the one before (but we still bought stuff there) and we took a long rest at the sitting corner before proceeding to a bit more shopping and went back down for dinner.

Because there was a lot of restaurant, we had to scissor, paper, stone to decide what to eat and unfortunately the western restaurant won. The food was not good at all :( I ordered rare steak, as usual but I am sure they bought forward raw meat instead.

We left the mall after dinner and from the overhead bridge we saw people dancing outside the mall. In fact there was quite a few groups of people around the mall dancing. The group of guys dancing to SNSD caught our attention. They were so good at synchronizing and the movement were all the same and some of them wore heels. Wearing it better than I do. /salutes

Outside the mall there was also rows and rows of vendors with mat neatly placed on the floor with different items. The different thing about this night flea market is that a lot of them made the products themselves. There were people designing phone casings, making leather products, sewing and gluing dolls and also making door signs. Really cool and heart warming to see that there is actually a place for these innovative people to be ^^

That night we went to check out clubs. Yes it was a Sunday but the clubs were all opened! However the club we went to was very quiet. Including the staff there were less than 20 people around -.- The more popular ones were clearly on full swing and more energetic and Sheila and I wanted so much to go in but it was already late and they were closing soon.. So we went back the next day haha

(photo uploading is a bitch again WHY hopefully I am not too lazy to edit this post with pictures later. Anyway you can see all the pictures at my facebook!)
