Highlight of the week
(Sunday / 23:54)
This whole week I have been sleeping a lot. Walking very slowly and embarrassingly around and watched tons of drama.
Why?
I sprained my ankle. I knew it was bad but I was not convinced to go to the doctor; even after the second day when it hurt so much I could not put any weight on it and I had to hop around the house. On the 4th day I finally went to the doctor and she said I waited too long. And you know how usually when we sprain our ankle its the outside that hurts (around the ankle ball?) but this time the inside of my ankle hurts as well. Pretty much a double combo which equal to double pain when the chinese physician tried to get it back in shape.
Went back to the clinic again today for a second treatment and today a male doctor was in place. He never give chance! JUST PUSH AND RUB ONLY.
He also asked if I finished the medication they gave. I lied and said I had one dosage left. Actually I had 3 dosage left hehe The syrup is so bitter it gives me the puking feeling every time I swallow it. :( I was afraid he would see through my lies actually. The first time I went, the female doctor took a quick look at my tongue and she knew I sleep late frequently! /gasp So I was afraid the doctor today will see through me by just looking at me lol but thankfully he did not. He just gave me another bottle and said to finish it after I empty the one I have right now. He also mention that this should not be as bitter as the first one but he is not certain 'cause he never had it before. Cute much?
So now I'm back to doing yoga when I bathe. tata
Bangkok Part 3
(Monday / 14:56)
12th MarchBought breakfast from the street vendors~ Ordered a dish which I have no idea what it was again heh Turns out to be some spicy soup with pig intestines and it was heavenly! I couldn't finish it though. It was a little too much for me and all the chewing made me really tired ha
Went to Shibuya 19 but was quite disappointed because there was nothing that caught our eyes. Walked over to Platinum Mall again to get whatever we missed out. We also went back to the food court and had some light snacks while resting our tired foots. Ordered their version of glutinous rice with coconut milk.
Their glutinous rice is a lot more sticky and it also comes with corn and some other ingredients. They also put a lot more coconut milk! :D
Went over to Khao San Road in the late afternoon for some sightseeing. The amount of backpackers there was nothing I had seen from the previous days in Bangkok! Due to the heat a lot of the guys also took their shirt off. I almost thought there was a beach nearby. Along the streets there were a lot of tattoo parlors, restaurants and souvenir shops. I recgonised one of the restaurants because I think Running Man was there before haha
We did braiding for our hair ^^ I had always wanted to try dreadlocks but I have to wash my hair everyday (because it feels itchy if I don't for a day). We each got a pretty feather on our hair hehe After that we went out of the streets and strayed into places more isolated with no crowd at all. There are still shops playing wonderful music, beautiful backpacker inns.
I have to be back in Bangkok, in Khao San~~~
Sheila was saying maybe we should check out Chinatown too but I was too lazy to travel already =x We continue walking until we reach another part that seems to be booming with business from the foreigners too. A lot of cheap beers, a lot of people watching done, a lot of bus services to other part of Thailand. INEEDTOGOTHEREAGAIN.
When we were about to leave the place, there was a group of man who thought we were lost and tried to direct us back to Khao San Rd haha But we explained we were going back to our hotel and they tried to charged us a certain rate to go back. It was evening then and, they say, there would be a lot of jam along the road that would take us back to Pratunam. We rejected their offer nicely and they back off. Yay they even showed us some home cooked food and shared it with us! :D
I thought that was the best 5 minutes I had in Bangkok because I experience the hospitality coming from the locals ^^
Went back to RCA and just the two of us, we drank more of the alcohol we bought yesterday and gave the rest of it to the staff working there and went to Slim for some crowd and music~~ There was no proper dance floor so Sheila and I was like standing at the corner because we don't have a table to ourselves haha Music was pretty good but I don't understand why they play MVs in clubs (the other time in Taiwan the club did it too). I thought it was distracting. Throughout the night, though it was fun and all, we kind of missed Butter Factory's crazy crowd.
Well if I go back to Bangkok I will definitely check out other nightlife area. I heard people saying that their night experience in BKK is wonderful and a lot more fun than Singapore.. maybe I just haven't been at the right places.
13th MarchTime to go home! Got a bit lost at the airport haha Had ramen before we board the flight. Ever since my trip to BKK my love for ramen increased a lot. Weird.
Flight home was quite terrible. Both of us was trying to catch some sleep but the group of travelers were talking so loudly :( And I was afraid the bag of tidbits in my bag would burst haha
Then Sheila drove us home ^^ It was raining heavily and her mini copper was 'bullied' on the road because the lorries and bigger cars were drowning us. Well, at least we got home safely hehe
