30th Aug
Breakfast was eaten at the little eatery that we have been walking by the past few days. The menu was about the same as the one we had yesterday but what impressed me was the level of service and thoughtfulness attention that was given by them. (Not that the breakfast shop yesterday gave us bad service, just that I did not had a chance to experience it) When cyclists came to order their food, they told them to next time just stay on their bike while they will go over to take orders from them. I think it is really sweet of them to do so!
Menu with many varieties

Our very delicious breakfast!

Took the train to Danshui and I was so tired I just fell asleep on the train without bothering to look glam. Pretty sure my head was nodding left and right, up and down throughout the ride. Woke up a couple of times and I seemed to notice that the train will be terminating before Danshui but did not say anything because I was that desperate for sleep. In the end Xianli realized that the train was moving backwards and only then I found out that I did not read that notice in dreamland haha
Started our journey around the old street from the side near to the water instead of the middle. Most of the shops sells similar souvenir products and food but the price may differ! So do patronize a couple of shops before buying any items so you will be paying for a product at the lowest possible price (without bargaining)!

Went into the Believe it or not museum again but it is a different experience. The large python was just fed! O.o And in one of the snake cage, the snake had not managed to eat its prey yet. The snake tried to attack the little white mouse a lot of time but a small movement made by the mouse will send the snake back to its original position. It is not supposed to be like this right? Anyway I stood in front of the display panel throughout, wishing to see the snake catch the mouse in action but at the same time hope that the mouse will survive.
I also let out shrieks whenever the snake strikes.
Watched for about half an hour and we left the museum with the mouse still well and alive^^ Upon leaving I asked the woman who sells the ticket if she was the one who fed the snakes. She said that she do it with another colleague and I asked what did they feed the python because we were pretty sure it is not a mouse because of the size of its stomach. They fed the snake a rabbit! Got me thinking if the rabbits on display will be the next breakfast for the python or not =/ I also told her that one of the snake had yet to eat its meal haha Probably the snake will die of hunger and the next time I return to the museum the mouse will be on display for being the strong one who survive after being put in a cage with a snake. :D
After that we went to Beitou to see take a look. Unfortunately we arrived there after 5pm and all the attractions were closed! And it started to rain so it was a failed trip. Shared a small hot pot between the three of us at the restaurant located just outside of Hell’s Valley and head down to Shihlin.
The only place where we managed to see steam was from the drain along the way.

The first thing I noticed at Shihlin was the bakery that looks newly open and crowded. Of course I had to go in! 1) it’s bread. I have a thing for bread. 2) it’s crowded. Means it is going to worth a shot. And I was not disappointed!

Upon going into Top Pot Bakery I was greeted by the scent of freshly baked bread and on display was rows and rows of breads! The best part of was they actually made sample for almost all the flavors! Took one of the bread that has got wine and was about to leave the bakery but the moment I put the big piece of sample into my mouth I knew I had to get something. I am not kidding THE BREAD IS AWESOME. Bread that taste of wine?! Bought a loaf back :D
We had only the bread the next morning but the taste was still much like yesterday! And they were really generous with their ingredient so I had cheese and walnut on every piece I teared off from the load. Gosh it got to be the best bread I ever had I am definitely coming back for more. Can they open an outlet in Singapore please?!
Yes three paragraph for bread. That is how much it is worth. ^^ I would totally blog about their bread on every post I make if they would sponsor me hehehe
We hunted for food but could not find it until we notice the banner that took us downstairs to the basement. Had steaks, squid and some shell fish for dinner at only $28 for 3 people! After that we went back upstairs for some shopping and to look for more street food. Did you know that the last time I went Taiwan I was a little ashamed to share my story because I ate so little?! Haha but this time I had a lot of street food and I am loving it! The pounds I am gaining is worth it… until I stand on the weighing machine T.T

31st Aug
Went to 东区 without much information on hand so it was pretty much walking around blindly. Window shopped the underground mall and then taking the last exit available and just roamed on the street. Came upon a small but full restaurant and settled for our brunch. I had so many bowls of beef noodles in Taiwan and I like all of them! Even the cup noodles that have got real meat! But there is something about this bowl of beef noodles that is different. The noodle was very tasty and QQ~ I have no memory of eating something like this before. It is like udon but smaller and it is more QQ than mee tai mak.
Really damn shiok to just stop anywhere, eat anywhere and still taste good ^^
After that we decided to find AES YAY but it started to rain the moment we hit the streets. Choo and I used poncho while Xianli used an umbrella but I think she stayed drier than we did? Choo and I were drench from knee to the bottom! Just when we decided to wear long pants and shoes out =|
Went back to the underground mall and tried to dry our poncho by running while holding it in our hand hehe It’s stuff like these I would not do in my home country because it was quite retarded to be honest. Went back onto the street and the rain stopped! Succeeded in finding AES!!!!!!!! And the moment we went in the towel was sitting there staring back at us OMG I REALLY WANT IT but I did not want to spend on expensive items right now… Well if it is mine I will get it some other day right! :)
From the shop we went towards Taipei 101. For some unknown reason, going to the building was never part of my plan. I am amazed by the structure and construction but it never occurred to me to want to include it in my itinerary.  Nevertheless that is one strike to the “must see in Taiwan”.
Had fries and beer at the theatre street in the late afternoon haha Good thing none of us got drunk man. Would be awkward to be on the streets in broad day light.
Walked around the area a little more and went back to Ximending to Xianli to shop before she goes back home tomorrow. I hope she had a nice time with us although I was not very hospitable all the time. I tend to stop being responsive when I am tired :|
Next stop: Hualien! Both my roommates are sound asleep right now hehe Good night guys!
